We provide a full template and fitting service. All surveys and installations are carried out by our own fully trained employees, who ensure all our work meets the highest quality standards.
Before the granite worktops can be manufactured and installed a site survey has to be carried out which is called templating. This involves making an exact replica of the required granite worktops, taking accurate measurements of the kitchen units and final locations of sinks, hobs, taps or any other fittings required which all need to be available on site. This is then used to manufacture the granite work tops ensuring a precise and accurate cutting of the granite for a perfect work surface installation. Please ensure the worktop area is free of materials or objects. Granite is very heavy so it is very important that all the units are in place and secured to the walls and LEVELLED. If the kitchen fitters are installing a temporary worktop, please ask them to communicate with us to ascertain the connections and supports to be done. Water connections should not be welded and should allow our stone fitters to disconnect taps and sinks to install the granite worktops.
All our worktops are cut and manufactured in our own dedicated and bespoke manufacturing facility using the latest machinery. This ensures precise and accurate cutting of the granite for perfect work surface installation.
Beware of some companies who claim they do not need to template before fitting, and cut on site using mobile equipment on the installation day. Using hand held cutters and polishers in your kitchen or living room can often result in having to chisel the walls and needing to scribe the back of the granite edge to install the work surface. This results in a very poor quality work surfaces plus a lot of dust, mess and noise.
